I62.09: Nontraumatic subdural haemorrhage: Unspecified
You have had bleeding between the tough meninx and the outer soft meninx.
On the outside of the brain and spinal cord there are three thin meninges (linings). A tough meninx, the dura mater, is on the outside. Below that are two soft meninges. There has been a bleed in the space between your dura mater and your outer pia mater (soft meninx).
A bleed can happen suddenly or be there for a long time.
There is not a lot of room in one’s head. When there is bleeding inside the head, the brain can become compressed. Brain tissue may be damaged as a result.
