Pus has accumulated in the space between your lungs.
We have 2 lungs. Various organs lie between the lungs, such as the heart, trachea (windpipe) and oesophagus (gullet). These organs are surrounded by connective tissue.
In your case, pus has accumulated in this space between the two lungs. This pus is in a cavity. This can happen for instance when specific pathogens get into the space between the lungs. You may have various symptoms as a result. Typical symptoms are a high temperature, coughing and pain in the ribcage.
