K00.1: Supernumerary teeth

While you were developing, you had more teeth develop than normal.

People usually have a specific number of teeth. There are 20 milk teeth. At an adult age, there are 32 teeth.

More teeth than usual may develop in the womb. There can be different reasons for this. A change in the genetic information may be the cause, for example. For example, a person may have an extra molar or an extra incisor.
