K87.0: Disorders of gallbladder and biliary tract in diseases classified elsewhere
Your gallbladder or bile ducts are damaged. It is also possible that both your gallbladder and bile ducts are damaged.
The gallbladder is in the top right part of the abdomen below the liver. The liver produces bile. The bile flows through bile ducts to the gallbladder and is stored there. When needed, the bile flows through another bile duct to the intestine. There, the bile helps to digest fats.
The cause of the damage is another disease.
If the gallbladder or bile ducts are damaged, you may have several symptoms. For example, the gallbladder or bile ducts may be inflamed. You may then have pain in the upper right abdomen or have a high temperature.
