L60.2: Onychogryphosis

One or more of your nails have grown very thick and bent.

Nails in your hands or feet are affected.

A thick, bent nail grows after injuries, for example, or when nail care is poor, or in old age. This changed nail may also be congenital. It usually affects the nails on the feet. If the nails are very long, they can resemble claws. The affected nail may also be black.
