You have psoriasis which is causing inflammation in various joints in your fingers or toes.
The fingers consist of 3 finger bones. The thumb is an exception, as it only has 2 finger bones. The finger bones are connected to one another by small finger joints, or knuckles.
The toes consist of 3 toe bones. The big toe is an exception, as it only has 2 toe bones. The toe bones are connected to one another by small toe joints.
You have psoriasis. This illness is also affecting your immune system. This causes the immune system to attack the tissues in the joints, which can lead to the joints becoming inflamed.
An inflammation in the joints can cause various symptoms. Typical is a swollen, painful joint. The skin above the joint may also be red. It may also no longer be possible to move the joint as usual.
