M21.37: Wrist or foot drop (acquired) Ankle and foot

You have foot drop.

Muscles in the lower leg are used to pull the end of the foot up towards one’s nose. In so doing, the end of the foot moves towards the back of the foot. When this movement is not really possible it is known as foot drop.

With foot drop the muscles that move the foot upwards do not work properly. This may be caused by nerve damage. Nerves control muscle movements. Nerves can be damaged due, for example, to illnesses or injuries.
