M24.63: Ankylosis of joint Forearm
A joint in your wrist has stiffened up.
The wrist joins the hand to the forearm. There are 2 bones in the forearm. These bones are called the ulna and the radius. As well as the actual wrist there is also a joint between the ends of the ulna and the radius. The joint between the ends of your ulna and your radius may also have stiffened up.
Joints may get stiff due to inflammation, for example. This can result in scars that restrict movement. The bones in the joint may also grow too much so that they impede movement. When a joint stiffens up completely, it becomes impossible to move.
