M36.53: Stage 3 chronic graft-versus-host disease of connective tissue

After you received donor stem cells in the past, the stem cells have, over a long period of time, damaged your connective tissue.

There is connective tissue all over the body. For example, there is connective tissue beneath the skin. Connective tissue also surrounds muscles and organs.

With this disorder, the donor immune cells attack the connective tissue in the body. The connective tissue may have been damaged as a result. As a result, you may have muscle pains, for example. Your muscles may feel stiff, or it may be hard to move your joints.

The symptoms are limiting you in your everyday life. Tying one’s shoelaces, for example, can become difficult.

  • R: Right
  • B: Both sides
