M62.00: Diastasis of muscle Multiple sites
Muscles in more than one part of your body are separating.
Muscles consist of individual muscle fibers very close together. The individual muscle fibers can separate. Muscles are surrounded by sheaths of strong connective tissue and anchored to the bone by tendons. The sheaths of the muscles or tendons may also become detached.
Muscles may separate when they are injured, for example. Other tissue or organs can protrude into the muscles.
