M89.50: Osteolysis Multiple sites

There has been a loss of bone tissue in some parts of your body.

There are various reasons why a loss of bone tissue can occur. For example, inflammations can cause a loss of bone tissue. Even if other tissue is newly forming in bones, there can be a loss of bone tissue in the affected areas.

If bone tissue is lost, the bones in the affected areas may become less stable. The affected bones may then become more fragile, for example.
