Every now and then you experience severe pain in your loin area and have blood in your urine.

The loin area is the area to the side of your abdomen and back. The loin area is where the kidneys are located.

Every now and then you experience severe pain in your loin area. The pain is spasmodic and may last for hours or even days. You may have blood in your urine after a few days. The exact cause of the pain is not known. There is often no obvious cause in the kidneys or urinary passages.
