Your uterus is inflamed.
The uterus or womb sits in the pelvis and is pear-shaped. The narrower part extends downward into the vagina and is called the cervix. When a woman is pregnant, the child grows in her uterus.
An inflammation in the uterus is mostly caused by pathogens. The uterus may sometimes become inflamed when you wear a coil. Your uterus has suddenly become inflamed.
Your periods may change if your uterus is inflamed. They may become particularly severe, for example, or occur at a different time from normal. You may also have pain in the lower abdomen or have a high temperature.
