N90.5: Atrophy of vulva

The tissue of your external genital organs has atrophied.

The external female genital organs include the labia, the clitoris and the skin around the vagina.

Atrophied tissue can occur, for example, at the menopausal transition. There are changes to the levels of sex hormones during the menopausal transition. These sex hormones affect the external genital organs and other areas.
