O04.7: Medical abortion Complete or unspecified, complicated by embolism

You had a pregnancy terminated.

There are various medical measures to terminate a pregnancy. Certain drugs are available. The pregnancy can also be terminated surgically.

One or more of your blood vessels are also blocked as a result. Blood vessels can get blocked when various substances mingle with the blood and then get stuck in the blood vessel. This may be clotted blood, drops of amniotic fluid, air or other substances, for example. When a blood vessel is blocked, organs or tissue, for example, may no longer get an adequate supply of oxygen and nutrients. As a result the organs or tissue involved may get damaged.
