Q71.5: Longitudinal reduction defect of ulna

The ulna in your forearm has not developed properly. As a result, you have a congenital condition.

There are normally 2 bones in the forearm. These bones are called the ulna and the radius.

There may be a number of different reasons for the ulna not being properly developed. Certain congenital diseases can lead to an underdeveloped ulna, for example. Taking certain medication during pregnancy can result in the child’s ulna not being properly developed. This means the child’s arm can be bent or shortened, for example.
