R47.1: Dysarthria and anarthria
Due to an illness, you are finding it difficult to talk.
To form words, we need to move our speech muscles. If we are unable to move our speech muscles properly, we will be unable to pronounce words properly. Our speech may then sound breathy or broken. We may also have difficulties when swallowing or chewing.
