R77.80: Change in prostate-specific antigen [PSA] level
A measurement showed a changed level of a protein from the prostate in your blood.
The prostate forms part of the male genital organs. The prostate sits below the bladder and encircles the urethra. The prostate is also known as the prostate gland. Some of the seminal fluid is formed in the prostate. The PSA protein is produced in the prostate. A change to the amount of PSA in the blood can indicate a prostate disorder. However, the PSA level may also change if the person rode a bicycle or had sex before the test.
