S01.23: Open wound: Nasal septum
You have injured your nasal septum. You have an open wound as a result of the injury.
The skin usually prevents pathogens from getting into the body. When you have an open wound the skin is damaged. This means that pathogens can get into the wound.
The nasal septum divides the nasal cavity into the two nostrils.
