S01.36: Open wound: Ear ossicles
You have injured your ear ossicles. You have an open wound as a result of the injury.
The skin usually prevents pathogens from getting into the body. When you have an open wound the skin is damaged. This means that pathogens can get into the wound.
The ear consists of 3 sections: the outer ear, the middle ear, and the inner ear. The ossicles are tiny bones in the middle ear. They transmit sounds to the inner ear so that we can hear.
