You have injured your neck. As a result, you have strained joints and ligaments in your neck.
There are a number of joints and ligaments in the neck. In getting injured, you have strained joints or overstretched ligaments.
This happens, for example, with sudden violent movements, as in a car accident. As a result you can get neck pain, for example, or headaches.
