S19.80: Injury of spinal meninges

You have injured your neck. Spinal cord membranes in your cervical spine have also been damaged.

The spinal cord is located in the spinal column. The spinal cord is made up of nerve fibers. The brain uses the nerve fibers to exchange information with the organs, skin and muscles. Around the spinal cord are membranes. They protect the spinal cord. You have damaged spinal cord membranes in your neck. When spinal cord membranes are damaged, blood vessels are also sometimes damaged.

When the neck is injured, it can be painful. It may also be that you are no longer able to move your head or other parts of your body properly.
