S37.21: Bruising of bladder
You have injured your bladder.
The bladder sits low down in the abdomen and collects the urine. The urine is produced in the two kidneys. The urine flows from the kidneys into the bladder via the ureters. When you pass water, the urine flows from the bladder via the urethra and out.
You have bruised your bladder. The organ affected can then swell up and you can have black marks. But there is no open wound to the skin with bruising.
Injuring an organ in the abdomen or pelvis can result in pain in that area. You may also have blood in your urine. You may not be able to pass water properly.
