S93.11: Dislocation of toe(s): Metatarsophalangeal (joint(s))
As a result of an injury, you have dislocated joints in your foot.
The foot is made up of a lot of small bones and joints. The lower leg is connected to the tarsus. Then comes the metatarsus and then the individual toes. The metatarsus consists of 5 elongated metatarsal bones. The big toe consists of 2 toe bones. The other toes consist of 3 toe bones.
When joints are dislocated, the bones are no longer properly aligned. Your toe bones are not properly aligned with your metatarsal bones.
When the bones are improperly aligned it can be painful or you may be unable to move your foot properly.
