S93.6: Sprain and strain of other and unspecified parts of foot
You have injured your foot. As a result, you have strained joints and ligaments.
The ankle joint connects the foot to the lower leg. There are several small joints in your foot. The foot joints are stabilized by various ligaments. You have strained ligaments or joints in your foot.
The ligaments or joints in your foot may get damaged if you twist your ankle, for example. The ligaments then come under a lot of strain for a short time. The ligaments may then get overstretched or tear. The injury can cause pain in the foot, for example. You may also be unable to walk properly.
