T38.3: Poisoning: Insulin and oral hypoglycaemic [antidiabetic] drugs
Your body was poisoned by a medication. This medication is intended to decrease the level of sugar in the blood.
There are various medications that decrease the level of sugar in the blood. Insulin, for example, is injected under the skin. There are also medications that you can take as a tablet.
If the sugar level in the blood drops too much, you may end up with low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia). For example, with low blood sugar, you may sweat or be very agitated. Sometimes seizures may occur. You may also lose consciousness.
