T42.3: Poisoning: Barbiturates
You have been poisoned by a drug in the barbiturates group.
Barbiturates are drugs that make you drowsy. They can be used in surgery or to treat seizures, for example.
A drug can cause poisoning if, for example, too much of it is taken. The drug may also be administered or taken by mistake.
Barbiturate poisoning can result in unconsciousness, for example. Breathing may be impaired. The heart function may be impaired.
