You have been poisoned by a substance that affects awareness.
Such substances can be certain medications or drugs, for example. They can affect one’s perception, thinking and mood.
A substance can cause poisoning if, for example, too much of it is taken. The substance may also be administered or taken by mistake.
Depending on exactly which substance has caused the poisoning, there can be different symptoms. For example, some substances can cause confusion, anxiety or hallucinations. The function of the heart and circulation can be impaired. You may also pass out.
