T60.3: Toxic effect: Herbicides and fungicides

You have been poisoned by a herbicide or fungicide.

There are different herbicides and fungicides. They differ in terms of their chemical components and the way they work. Depending on which substance caused the poisoning, there can be a variety of symptoms. The symptoms also depend on how the substance got into the body. For example, the substance can be inhaled, swallowed or absorbed via the skin.

Poisoning from herbicides or fungicides can cause irritation of the skin or mucous membrane. There can be vomiting or diarrhea, for example. The liver, kidneys or heart may also be damaged. Changes can occur in the lungs that can cause breathlessness, for example. You can also become confused or light-headed.
