T61.0: Ciguatera fish poisoning

You have been poisoned by consuming fish.

The fish was contaminated by a toxin produced by algae. This is called ciguatoxin. If you consume fish contaminated with ciguatoxin, there can be various symptoms. In the early days after consuming it, the skin can turn red and there may be a numbness around the lips and mouth. There can also be nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Symptoms such as dizziness, impaired vision and muscle cramps can continue for a long time.
