T82.1: Mechanical complication of cardiac electronic device

You have experienced problems with your heart after treatment.

You wear an electronic device that measures your heart waves. The heart’s electrical activity triggers the heartbeat. The device is often placed just under the skin on the pectoral muscle. The device consists of a battery and a case with wires.

The treatment caused problems or damage. The electronic device may no longer be in the right place, for example. The battery may also be exhausted. Also, a cable from the device is occasionally no longer in the right place. For example, there may be heavy bleeding from the heart if the heart wall is injured.
