Tissue has died in the stump of part of your body that has been removed.

Part of the body can be partially or fully removed. The residual body part, still on the body, is called a stump.

Tissue in your stump has died. Tissue can die if does not have an adequate blood supply, for example. Tissue can also die if there is inflammation.
