Z13.7: Special screening examination for congenital malformations, deformations and chromosomal abnormalities
A special examination was carried out on you.
The examination was to see whether you have certain congenital diseases, which means conditions you were born with. In the course of this, you may be examined to determine whether all areas of your body developed normally. Sometimes your blood will be examined to see whether your chromosomes are changed. When beginning its development, every single cell in the body contains a complete blueprint of the body. This blueprint consists of genetic information. The genetic information is encrypted in the chromosomes. Every human cell normally contains 23 chromosome pairs, i.e. a total of 46 chromosomes.
Additional indicator
On medical documents, the ICD code is often appended by letters that indicate the diagnostic certainty or the affected side of the body.
- G: Confirmed diagnosis
- V: Tentative diagnosis
- Z: Condition after
- A: Excluded diagnosis
- L: Left
- R: Right
- B: Both sides
