Z45.1: Adjustment and management of infusion pump

The settings of your drug pump have been checked or adjusted.

You need a specific drug. That may for instance be a painkiller. You are receiving this drug through a thin tube that is connected to a pump. Sometimes a pump like this will be located in the lower abdomen.

The pump must be precisely tailored to your drug requirements. For example, it is possible to adjust how quickly the pump works and how much of the drug gets into the body.
