Z51.83: Opiate substitution

You were treated with specific replacement drugs.

If you take a particular drug over an extended period, the body can sometimes get used to it. Such a drug might be for instance a strong painkiller from the group of opiates. If you no longer need this drug later, you cannot suddenly stop using it. That is why you are temporarily getting a replacement drug. The body should thus learn to manage again without drugs.
