Z94.5: Skin transplant status

In the past you had a skin transplant.

When tissue is transplanted, diseased or missing tissue is replaced by healthy tissue.

Skin sometimes needs to be transplanted if someone has a large wound in their skin, for example. The healthy piece of skin can be moved from one part of the body to another part of the body, for example, or come from another person.
