Z96.62: Presence of a radial head prosthesis

You have a prosthesis that has replaced the top end of your radius.

There are 2 bones in the forearm, the ulna and the radius. The ulna is on the side where your little finger is. The radius is on the side where your thumb is. Both bones in the forearm have an upper, middle and lower section. The top ends of ulna and radius, along with the humerus, form the elbow joint.

Your prosthesis is an artificial replacement for the upper end of your radius. An artificial replacement may be required if, for example, the upper end of the radius gets badly damaged in an accident.
