Neurological assessments: Examination of cerebrospinal fluid system: Pharmacological test
Your cerebrospinal fluid has been examined.
Cerebrospinal fluid is a clear fluid that is formed in the brain. There are cavities with cerebrospinal fluid in the brain, around the brain and around the spinal cord. Among other things, the cerebrospinal fluid cushions the brain and spinal cord during knocks and also nourishes the brain cells.
A needle has been inserted into your back, between your vertebral bodies, at lumbar spine level. A drug was injected via the needle into the cerebrospinal fluid. An observation was then made of how you react to this drug.
