Neurological assessments: Other neurophysiological assessments: Neurological assessments in patients with movement disorders: Assessment of pharmacosensitivity using quantitative testing

Testing was carried out to see whether your movement can be affected by a drug.

The body’s movements occur through the brain, nerves and muscles coordinating. If this coordination is disrupted, movement can also be disrupted.

The examination involved giving you a drug. Testing was done to see whether the drug affects your movement. A note was also made of the dose of the drug that produces an effect. The response to a particular drug can help indicate why movement has been disrupted.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.

  • L: Left
  • R: Right
  • B: Both sides

Further information

Note

Your doctor will assist you with any health-related questions and explain the OPS code to you in a direct consultation if necessary.
