1-20a.21:
Neurological assessments: Other neurophysiological assessments: Neurological assessments in patients with movement disorders: Assessment of surgical operability of movement disorders
Testing was carried out to see whether your movement can be affected by surgery.
The body’s movements occur through the brain, nerves and muscles coordinating. If this coordination is disrupted, movement can also be disrupted.
There were various parts to the testing. The examination involved giving you a drug. Testing was done to see whether the drug affects your movement. A note was also made of the dose of the drug that produces an effect. Questions were also asked about your activity and your participation in social life. Attention was also paid to any indications of mental illness. You were then given advice in relation to surgery.
Additional indicator
If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
- L: Left
- R: Right
- B: Both sides
