Your heart has been examined.

The heart pumps blood through the body. In the process, the blood flows through blood vessels. The blood supplies all areas of the body with oxygen and nutrients.

You had a heart catheter test. A catheter is a thin tube. This tube is inserted into a blood vessel in the groin or arm, and pushed further in. Various instruments can be pushed at the front of the tube. This enables the heart, and blood vessels to and from the heart, to be assessed. The testing enables an assessment of how the heart is working. Individual areas in the heart can also be examined more closely in the process.

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
