Examination of urinary tract: Urethral pressure profile test
The pressure in your urethra has been measured.
The urethra channels the urine out from the bladder.
To measure the pressure in the urethra, a thin tube is inserted into the urethra. The tube is used to measure the pressure in the bladder and the urethra. While the pressure is being measured the tube is slowly withdrawn. The pressure in the urethra is first measured when you are relaxed. We then study how the pressure in the urethra changes when it is put under pressure. It is put under pressure when we cough or press something, for example.
