1-401.1:
Biopsy without incision on nervous system and endocrine organs: Imaging-guided percutaneous intracranial biopsy: Basal ganglia
A tissue sample has been taken from your basal ganglia.
The brain is made up of several parts. The cerebrum is the largest part of the brain. This is where thinking, feeling and planning of movements takes place. The cerebrum is made up of an outer layer called the cerebral cortex and an inner layer known as white matter. The basal ganglia are also located in the white matter. These special areas are important for controlling movement.
The tissue sample was taken using images of the inside of your head. This helps to control exactly where the tissue sample will be taken.
