1-442.2:

Biopsy without incision on digestive organs: Imaging-guided percutaneous biopsy of hepatobiliary system and pancreas: Pancreas

Tissue samples have been taken from your pancreas.

The pancreas is located in the upper abdomen. It regulates the sugar content in the blood and forms substances for digestion, for example.

A needle was inserted through your skin to take the tissue samples. At the same time, images were taken of the inside of your body. That way it is possible to see exactly where the needle is.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.

  • L: Left
  • R: Right
  • B: Both sides

Further information

Note

Your doctor will assist you with any health-related questions and explain the OPS code to you in a direct consultation if necessary.
