Tissue samples have been taken from your bile ducts.

Bile is produced in the liver. The bile is transported via bile ducts within the liver towards the gallbladder. The bile is collected in the gallbladder. When you eat something, bile is released into the intestine. This is what the common bile duct to the intestine is for.

Firstly, a tube was inserted into your bile ducts and a small forceps was pushed through this. The forceps was then used to take the tissue samples. At the same time, images were taken of the inside of your body. So we were able to see exactly where the forceps was.
