1-465.2:

Biopsy without incision on urinary organs and male genital organs: Imaging-guided percutaneous biopsy of urinary organs and male genital organs: Seminal vesicles

Tissue samples have been taken from your seminal vesicle.

The seminal vesicle is also called seminal gland. The two seminal vesicles sit behind the bladder. The seminal vesicles form a sugary fluid. This fluid is important in enabling the sperm to move.

The tissue samples were taken using a needle. This needle was inserted through your skin into the relevant tissue. At the same time, images were taken of the inside of your body. That way it is possible to see exactly where the needle is.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.

  • L: Left
  • R: Right
  • B: Both sides

Further information

Note

Your doctor will assist you with any health-related questions and explain the OPS code to you in a direct consultation if necessary.
