Biopsy without incision on urinary organs and male genital organs: Imaging-guided percutaneous biopsy of urinary organs and male genital organs: Prostate, punch biopsy: 20 or more cylinders
Tissue samples have been taken from your prostate.
The prostate forms part of the male genital organs. The prostate sits below the bladder and encircles the urethra. The prostate is also known as the prostate gland. Some of the seminal fluid is formed in the prostate.
The tissue samples were taken using a needle. This needle was inserted through your skin into the relevant tissue. At the same time, images were taken of the inside of your body. That way it is possible to see exactly where the needle is.
Additional indicator
If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
- L: Left
- R: Right
