Biopsy without incision on female genital organs: Percutaneous (needle) biopsy of female genital organs: Ligaments of uterus
Tissue samples have been taken from ligaments supporting your uterus.
The uterus or womb sits in the pelvis and is pear-shaped. The narrower part extends downward into the vagina and is called the cervix. When a woman is pregnant, the child grows in her uterus. The uterus is attached to the pelvis by three ligaments.
The tissue samples were taken using a needle. This needle was inserted through your skin into the relevant tissue.
