Biopsy without incision on female genital organs: Imaging-guided biopsy without incision on gravid uterus: Chorionic villi, transvaginal
During your pregnancy, tissue samples were taken from the placenta.
The placenta forms in the mother’s womb during pregnancy. The placenta consists of cells from the mother and cells from the unborn child. The umbilical cord connects the child to the placenta.
The tissue samples were taken using a needle. This needle was inserted through your vagina. The vagina is tubular and leads from the outside to the uterus. At the same time, images were taken of the inside of your body. That way it is possible to see exactly where the needle is.
Additional indicator
If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
- L: Left
- R: Right
