1-494.a:

Biopsy without incision on other organs and tissue: Imaging-guided (percutaneous) biopsy of other organs and tissue: Periprostatic tissue

Tissue samples have been taken from the area around your prostate.

The prostate forms part of the male genital organs. The prostate sits below the bladder and encircles the urethra. The prostate is also known as the prostate gland. Some of the seminal fluid is formed in the prostate.

The tissue samples were taken using a hollow needle. This needle was inserted through your skin in the area around your prostate. At the same time, pictures were taken of the inside of your body. That way it is possible to see exactly where the needle is.

Additional indicator
